Construction Time.

Today  I made a cat castle for my cat, her name is Kitten.
I used cardboard, paper and duct tape to put it together.
Kitten loves playing in boxes she has a eating area and a sleeping area that I'll show you in my video.

  1. I love that you made a recording of your construction Caleb. What a cool thing to do with mum and dad. Kitten looks like she really enjoys her castle. Did you draw a plan before you built this? Maybe you could share your instructions and I could get some boxes and make one for my cats too.
Is there any thing that you would do different next time?? What a lucky cat.

  2. Thank you, no I didn't draw up a plan but for next time I will make a plan first. I wanted to add more stuff and paint it but we were limited on stuff to use at home, so I'll save some extras for next time when the shops are open.

  3. Hi Caleb
Wow that is definitely a castle for cats! I love seeing it on video as I got to see it like I was right there, looking at it myself! It looks like Kitten really likes his new castle. How did you come up with the idea? Did you see a similiar one somewhere?

    1. Thank you, It was just a idea that came into my brain as Kitten has been sleeping on my little sisters couch so I decided to make a new bed for Kitten, we did look up ideas on real castles on the internet.

  4. Wow Caleb, that is one amazing house for a kitten. I really love how it has more than one room for the kitten to use. Did it take you a long time to construct?

  6. Hi Caleb,
I have a cat at my house that likes to hide in different boxes and cupboards. Last night it cuddled down in my knitting basket. It would really like to sleep in the cat castle you made for your kitten!
It is a bit tricky getting to the shops to get the extra things like paint right now isn't it?
Do you have any other animals at your house? I am sure you could create some more really cool designs.
I have just had to construct a new little henhouse for one of my hens. It's by my hothouse and my hen really seems to like it in there. I know this because she laid her first egg in there today. I
am looking forward to reading your next post.

  8. Kia ora Caleb,
You have done an exceptional job creating this castle for Kitten!
I can only imagine how much time, energy and effort went into building this castle, and I am sure Kitten must appreciate her new home a lot!
I really like all of the design aspects you have incorporated into your castle. Small details such as the drawings you included, Kitten’s name on the box, the window and the bed are all what makes this castle into a home, and in all honesty I think this is a home any cat would be lucky to live in!
I noticed how you called your cat ‘Kitten’. Is this your cat’s name, or is your pet still just a kitten?
You mentioned how you put a bed in the castle for Kitten to sleep on. Did you include blankets or towels for him/her to sleep on?
What is your favourite part of this castle?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Including cat biscuits was a brilliant idea, and it is awesome how there are so many different holes for you to be able to see into. You will definitely be able to see what Kitten is upto, and you could even stick a piece of string through the top hole and play with him/her while he’s in bed!
    Keep up the fantastic work!
    Nga mihi
