Shapes Scavenger Hunt.

Today I done my shape scavenger hunt, Mum had me
looking all over our home for the shapes on the list that Mrs Long had for us there were circles, squares, cylinders and rectangles and triangles
I managed to find them all apart from a Hexagon Mum had to help me find one and in the end
WE FOUND ONE.

  1. Hi Caleb
I look forward to seeing your posts, I think your learning is on fire! You look like you have been busy finding lots of shapes. Isn't it funny that we don't really notice the shapes, until we need to take notice of them! What was your favourite shape? What was the easiest shape to find? Keep those blogs coming Caleb!

  3. Well done Caleb. There are so many shapes in our house and we don't always take the time to see them, so well done. I love your hexagon shape, not many people would have that in their home.

  5. What a great hexagon find, the stop sign. So many people have found that shape a bit more challenging to find. Was it easy to spot? You have been working so hard Caleb, Keep up the fantastic work. Ka Pai

  6. Kia ora Caleb,
It sure does sound like you had an exciting time doing this shapes scavenger hunt, and it is awesome to hear how you are still able to do fun, educational activities whilst learning from home! An interactive activity such as this scavenger hunt is a great way to get you thinking while having fun, and it definitely looks like you were having a lot of fun judging by the photos you included.
It is interesting to hear how you struggled when looking for a hexagon shape. I have read the blog posts of others in your class who also completed this scavenger hunt, and a few of them also found it difficult to find the hexagon shape.
It was extremely clever of you to have thought of a stop sign though, and I can imagine how happy you must have been finding the final shape!
Perhaps you could visit your class blog and check out some of your friends scavenger hunt posts. This would be a fantastic way to see what kinds of objects they found for each shape.
Just remember- positive, thoughtful and helpful comments!
What was your favourite shape to find and why?
How long did it take you to find everything on the list?
Did you manage to find any shapes that weren’t on your list? If so, what were they?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
    Nga mihi
